Flolan is currently the only FDA approved drug for the treatment
of primary pulmonary hypertension (PPH). Expected to raise the life
expectancy of patients suffering from PPH, Flolan has extended the
lives of patients using the drug by 3-5 years or more. PPH patients
must continue the Flolan PPH treatment for the rest of their lives with
a regular increase in dosage. PPH causes a dangerously high blood
pressure level in the pulmonary artery that connects the heart and
lungs, leading to the heart being destroyed in some instances.
If you have developed PPH, primary pulmonary hypertension, and
are seeking drug treatment methods to prolong life expectancy, such
as Flolan or Tracleer,

Primary pulmonary hypertension is a serious and non-curable disease
that is predicted to increase according to medical researchers as
a result of the high number of Fen Phen users. An estimated at 6-7
million people in the U.S. used Fen Phen and due to the 4-6 year
latency period between Fen Phen use and PPH symptoms, diagnosis
was often delayed. PPH sufferers will sometimes use Flolan or Tracleer
therapy to prolong their life expectancy.
PPH symptoms include:
- Death
- New heart murmur
- Chest pain
- Shortness of breath
- Fainting
- Tiredness
- Weakness

Primary pulmonary hypertension (PPH) is normally a condition
of steady deterioration and reduced life expectancy. Chances
for survival when suffering from PPH are 68-77% at one
year, 52-58% at two years, 40-56% at three years, 30-43%
at four years, and 22-38% at five years when non-transplanted.
With the use of certain PPH treatments, like Flolan, life
expectancy has been extended for 3-5 years or more, but
the therapy is a costly, complex, and constant treatment
method used only when PPH has been positively identified
in patients.

The
manufacturer of the once hailed miracle drug Fen
Phen, in addition to Redux and Pondimin, American Home Products,
were found by the FDA to have miscoded primary pulmonary hypertension
(PPH) reports and failing to have an official medical monitor
in 1995. Fen Phen manufacturer had known about the previous
European testing finding the diet drugs was linked to PPH. Despite
these test results American Home Products did not disclose this
information on the drugs labels under the adverse reaction
area. It was not until there were reports of 62 PPH fatalities
that the diet drug labels were finally changed. Now there are
a high number of people that are continuing to suffer from PPH,
the deadly cardiovascular condition. Currently, there is no
cure for PPH, but the FDA has approved the use of Flolan to
treat PPH sufferers and to raise the life expectancy of patients.

There was an estimated 6-7 million Americans that used Fen Phen.
Now, diet drug users, including Fen Phen, Redux, and Pondimin, are
suffering from the rare and deadly cardiovascular condition called
primary pulmonary hypertension (PPH). While drug treatments like
Flolan or Tracleer are available and may prolong life expectancy
of those PPH suffering patients, patients have legal rights for
the pain and suffering endured as a result of deadly drug side effects.
